Contrast and Perspective at Olbrich Gardens

 

Not so much a garden/plant post as just photography, these are some pictures I took during a recent visit to Olbrich Gardens near Madison, WI. The humidity was low and the light good. Enjoy.

I'm not sure this sculpture is still on display at the Olbrich Botanical Gardens. This is one of my favorite pictures of an Olbrich sculpture from a couple years ago.

Hidden Views, Secret Gardens

Gardens seen through an obscured view lure us into them. They give up their secrets slowly and we would have it no other way. These pictures were taken at two of my favorite botanic gardens, Chicago Botanical Gardens (CBG) and Olbrich Gardens (OG). This one was taken at the CBG.


A view that appears to go on forever. These trees are night-lit with pot uplights. Spectacular. (CBG)

Sunday at Olbrich Gardens: Containers

Sunday, I had to pick my son up Madison. I decided to go a bit early and check out the Olbrich Gardens. I usually do not get there in early summer, only late summer and fall. I was not too impressed after seeing what the Chicago Botanic Gardens had to offer two weeks ago.

These pots were nice, though.
