Species on the Wisconsin DNR's Hit List!

(The burgundy barberry accented by the variegated dogwood- not the dogwood.)

I will continue adding other listed for inclusion in NR-40 as I come across pictures of them.

Aren't plants and greenery supposed to be a calming influence?

See the beautiful burning bush in the picture above?

BANNED!!!

YOU CAN'T HAVE ONE!

Or, rather if the DNR gets their way here in Wisconsin, you soon won't be able to purchase one, AND, if you already have one in your yard the DNR will be empowered to come onto your property, remove it, and charge you for its removal!

The Wisconsin DNR is suggesting a second round of "invasives"to be included on their NR-40. The list includes Purple Flame grass (miscanthus sinesis 'Purple Flame'), verbena, barberry, robina, privet; ...the list is exhaustive and mind-numbing.

Gee, under the DNR's definition of invasive species, I believe humans probably fit right in there somewhere!
