The Lapin cherries have been hanging there from my espalier project, red and shiny, calling to me. Today I saw that a bird had sampled one of the cherries. Birds like the sweet life, so I took one to taste myself. Ripe enough, I'll take them before other birds realize there is sweet juiciness hanging in their backyard.

Yum! Isn't it amazing that they seem to know exactly when something is ripe!
