Last year I was feeling bold and I dug up a bunch of the native geraniums I had planted in the past. I sliced the rhizomes into 1-2" pieces and replanted them. The survival rate looks very promising from what I can see so far this year.
It really is one of the more difficult plants to collect seed from.

I like them, too. My favorites are 'Johnson's Blue' and the native Geranium maculatum.

Dividing up the rhizomes really is so much more efficient, though! It make a great ground cover.
