The Garden Door, at the Door County Agricultural Research Station in Door County, WI

The Door Garden is a small garden only in size.

There's a water garden complete with koi, and water-loving plants like bergenia and sweet flag.

There's a central allee leading to a partially vine-covered hoop house

Cement and hypertufa sculpture and troughs

A wonderful collection of clematis planted in pairs are growing over the

Culver's root

Fused glass flowers decorate the entrance to the allee.

Just one of the examples of mosaic glass art.

Clematis 'Henryii'

Ubiquitous bottle tree

Incredible twig art provide a garden border backdrop

Is this my imagination or does this pot's planting look like a face?
And there were so many fairy gardens, it's going to be a completely separate post!

Enjoy these pictures from the Garden Door, but there is more to come!

  1. The twig art is really nice but looks kind of fragile. I like the mosaic glass art, and stained glass of almost all kinds in garden art.

  2. Can I simply just say what a comfort to discover somebody
who actually understands what they're discussing over the internet.

You actually realize how to bring an issue to
light and make it important. A lot more people should
look at this and understand this side of the story.
I was surprised that you are not more popular since you certainly have the
    gift.
