  1. Looks fantastic, especially considering the drought. Hate to show my ignorance, but what is the amaranth for?

  2. Amaranth seed is a gluten-free grain that can be used as flour in pancakes and pasta. It can also be coiled and eaten similar to quinoa (which is also gluten-free, but doesn't get enough growing time in the upper Midwest).

  3. Rachelle, I nominated your blog for the One Lovely Blog Award. The writing and photography on TTP really is great (excuse the abreviation). Anyhow, if you want to accept, see my post at gardeninacity.wordpress.com/2012/07/24 to see what's involved. There's a bit of a ponzi element, but in a good cause.
