Contrast and Perspective at Olbrich Gardens

Not so much a garden/plant post as just photography, these are some pictures I took during a recent visit to Olbrich Gardens near Madison, WI. The humidity was low and the light good. Enjoy.

Red cardinal flower with a sedge or grass (I didn't look close, it may have been a green Hakone grass.

I never noticed the lion ready to pounce on unsuspecting visitors before!

Messy in the spring, I like eastern cottonwoods. One of the few deciduous "big" trees in the Midwest.

Not a sugar maple turning, but a Japanese maple.
